Ups...

7. Fisticuffs

Either you enjoy Jack Gallagher’s “Extraordinary Gentleman” gimmick or you don’t. Color this writer entertained – but mildly disappointed.

Gallagher’s in-ring antics are comical without being silly, tying up Drew Gulak’s legs so he can’t move, then tipping him over. Then there’s his trademark headstand in the corner, warding off his opponent by lowering a foot at Gulak when he charges.

After winning, Gallagher continued his gentlemanly feud with that scoundrel Ariya Daivari by offering to meet him for a parlay – a negotiation to end hostilities. Failing that, Gallagher promised to resort to fisticuffs to resolve their issues.

The only downside to this is that we’re probably seeing less than half of what Gallagher (and others) bring to the table (as mentioned earlier). Still, the Extraordinary Gentleman is one of the bright spots for the division, so seeing him on Raw is almost an automatic “up.”
