Face it: Ever since he lost the WWE Cruiserweight Championship last year, TJ Perkins has been floundering, treading water. If anyone desperately needed a change of some sort, it was him.

Monday, Neville got into TJP’s head, telling him that his career had become a joke, that he had been overlooked and had his opportunities given to others like Austin Aries. Sure, it was transparent what he was doing, but Perkins bout in, and after scoring an upset rollup win over the #1 contender, TJP attacked A-Double and laid him out with a Detonation Kick.

Perkins turning heel livens him up a bit and allows his showboating antics to be magnified a bit now. With a little luck, this will breathe a little life into an act that had turned stale. It certainly can’t be much worse than being just another guy on 205 Live.
