7 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 14)
4. The Boss And The Queen Continue To Spar
There are plenty of fans who feel that the ongoing feud between Charlotte and Sasha Banks has passed its sell-by date, but a case can easily be made that this is a great rivalry that fans will look back on fondly one day, much in the way that the years-long feud between Lita and Trish Stratus is still highly regarded.
With that said, the two women did a nice job sniping at each other during their tag match against fellow Survivor Series partners Nia Jax and Alicia Fox. When Jax tagged in to start the match, Charlotte went to bail out by tagging Sasha, only for Banks to drop down off the apron and force her to give it a go. Throughout the match, you could see their facial expressions change when the other was in peril or in control. And of course, Sasha and Charlotte came to blows, as you’d expect with these two combustible elements.
We can all quibble over the depth (or lack thereof) of the women’s divisions on Raw and SmackDown, and you can argue that Charlotte and Sasha playing hot potato with the title isn’t the best thing. But personally, this ongoing feud is a good thing. It’s producing solid matches and puts a spotlight on both women. At some point soon though, they will need to part ways and feud with other women.
