7 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Sept 5)

3. Where’s Rusev?

Two weeks in a row now, we haven’t seen or heard from the secondary champion on Raw. Rusev is the United States Champion, but the last time we saw him, he was getting pummeled at SummerSlam by Roman Reigns, and then walking out of a #1 contender’s match on Raw the next might against Big Cass.

Since then, nothing. It’s very strange, especially with a Raw brand PPV coming up in three weeks, Clash of Champions. Is Rusev actually hurt? On his honeymoon with Lana? Or does the WWE creative team have nothing for him to do right now? Considering that he wrestled a match against Jack Swagger for Superstars last week, it’s safe to assume he’s not injured.

If it’s the latter, you’ve got to wonder what the creative team is going to do when the cruiserweights arrive and start taking up segments for their matches. Either way though, we need to see Rusev back on Raw next week. Feel free to scrap a Darren Young/Titus O’Neil segment to make time.
