7 Ups And Downs From WWE Royal Rumble 2015

1. The Beast Slayed All

It bears repeating just how good the world title match really was. Had the Rumble match been at least passable, this would be a well-regarded title match. Instead, it will be overshadowed by the atrocious Rumble bout. But Brock Lesnar really gave the kind of dominant performance that made you wish he had been around more during the past four months. He threw John Cena and Seth Rollins around like they were ragdolls, suplexing them at will. Lesnar also cut off Cena€™s goofy €œYou can€™t see me€ with a German suplex. Brock kicked out of an Attitude Adjustment at 1, then took three AAs and curbstomp and was walking around. He looked more like a machine than a man, getting up off a stretcher to return to the match and win. Lesnar most likely will be losing the title to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XXXI, but he certainly looked like an unbeatable monster at the Rumble. While it wasn€™t as dominant a performance as SummerSlam, Brock looked like the kind of champ who can only be beat on the grandest stage of all. It€™s just a shame that despite the buildup looking great on this side, the buildup for the challenger on the Road to WrestleMania looks like it will be full of roadblocks. Reigns might be WWE€™s choice to slay the Beast, but the fans appear as ready to accept that as they were for a Batista-Orton Mania main event.
