Prior to Rusev's first match with Cena at February's Fastlane pay-per-view, the big selling point of the match was that Rusev had never been pinned or submitted for nearly a year on the main roster. He did lose by disqualification, but nobody was able to REALLY beat him. Then Rusev won at Fastlane, so they went into WrestleMania with the streak still intact. Cena won at WrestleMania clean with the Attitude Adjustment, so that's the end of unbeatable Rusev. In the old days, guys would be built up for a year or more as undefeated so that when they finally lost it was a big deal. That's why you do a streak in the first place. What should have happened with Rusev? He never should have lost! Have him beat Cena. They need top heels. Instead, he's going to be seen as a loser. And for what? To make Cena look better? The guy could lose 500 matches in a row and people would still think he's pushed too much. WWE has to think about the long term future of the company. They needed Rusev to become a top heel they can build. Instead, thanks to having Cena dominate this feud they are going to turn Rusev into just another guy instead of a potential top star. Good luck to Rusev in the rest of his career. He's going to need it.
