Sharmell, then known as Nitro Girl Storm, met Booker T in the early 2000s while they were both working for WCW. They dated for years before tying the knot in 2005, and while Sharmell worked for WWE around the same time Booker did during the Invasion angle, she was released from her contract in 2002.

It wasn't until 2005 that Sharmell was brought back into the fold by Booker T to serve as his on-screen valet to help the five-time WCW Champion and natural babyface garner heel heat.

She had a much larger presence on WWE programming when she became Queen Sharmell in 2006 following her husband's huge King of the Ring victory. They were easily the most despised couple in all of WWE at that point, and rode a wave of momentum over the next year until they hit a roadblock when they were drafted to Raw.

Booker and Sharmell were creatively stifled on Monday nights, later leading to their departure from the company in October 2007. They both requested releases from their contracts, which were granted. She followed him over to TNA shortly thereafter and retired from the wrestling business all together in 2009.
