7 Women Who Won Men's Wrestling Titles

5. Daffney - WCW Cruiserweight Champion

WCW truly was a mess in its final years, so much so that Daffney being WCW Cruiserweight Co-Champion and subsequently Undisputed Champion isn't so ridiculous in hindsight. At least she was a wrestler, and not an offensive portrayal of a legendary wrestling announcer (hey, Oklahoma!).

Daffney held the title with Crowbar, the duo defeating Chris Candido and Tammy Lynn Sytch (Sunny) in a mixed tag team match on an episode of Monday Nitro. One week later the co-champions went one-on-one to decide who truly was the WCW Cruiserweight Champion, and it was The Scream Queen that came out on top.

Zombie Hot wouldn't hold the title for long, dropping it two weeks later to Lieutenant Loco (Chavo Guerrero) in a triple threat match that also involved Disco Inferno. Somewhat strangely for a uniquely talented performer, this was the only major championship Daffney would hold during her career.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
