4. Charlotte’s Streak Ends

WWE streak of building s**t up, only to not get anything out of it continues!

Of course, we all remembered how much Brock Lesnar absolutely needed to beat The Streak, otherwise no one would have ever taken the former UFC Champ seriously. All right, dropping the sarcasm, it seems WWE willingly gives up cool things that could get other wrestlers over virtually every time out.

You can start out small, like Bo Dallas losing his winning streak to R-Truth of all people. Edge had a nice little 5-0 Mania win/loss record, which was given up in a Money in the Bank match. The Shield suffered their first loss on a random episode of SmackDown and now Charlotte’s nearly year-and-half undefeated pay-per-view streak is gone. FOR WHAT? GAH!

From a pure storytelling standpoint, Bayley vs. Charlotte one-on-one with the title and ppv streak on the line is the best they could have done. That’s what they should have been booking towards the past few months. But Sasha has been involved throughout, Nia is kind of there, the streak is gone and the title has changed hands too many times to matter much anymore.

There’s so much great talent involved, but creative (basically Vince) can't actually give us a satisfying payoff to anything these days.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
