This is one of those sad spoilers that we hate having to deal with, but current Intercontinental Champion Daniel Bryan is injured and according to a report earlier in the week he's going to be out of action for about four weeks. He wasn't on Raw or Smackdown this week. WWE talked about the IC Title match against Bad News Barrett at Extreme Rules only briefly on Raw by saying that it will happen if Bryan is able to compete. If that report is right like we think then he's not going to be wrestling. WWE knows this. They just don't want to tell the WWE Universe because it may upset the fans that were hoping to see Bryan. The negative thing about not telling the people that Bryan is off is that during the show or after the show it's going to upset a lot of fans that were excited to see one of the most popular guys on the roster. We also don't know if they are going to keep the IC Title on Bryan, but if it's only four weeks of absence they might just keep the title on him until he's ready to come back. That 30 day rule is more of a myth than anything. If you're watching Extreme Rules for Daniel Bryan you will probably be disappointed. He's likely not going to be wrestling there.
