7 WWE Hell In A Cell 2021 Impulse Reactions

1. Bobby Lashley (c) Vs. Drew McIntyre

The task at hand in the latest (and perhaps last...for a while) battle between Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre was to maintain the quality of their prior encounters while somehow using the Hell In A Cell structure as a way to make a flagging combination feel fresh one final time.

They achieved that early on by using the tight space between the ring and the cell to make themselves look even bigger. McIntyre beat the sh*t out of the WWE Champion on the floor with some awesome-looking stuff until the 'All Mighty' took over with help from MVP's cane.

McIntyre had to absorb a battering of his own from there but never particularly in the way that bruised body parts mattered all that much. This required big men to do big things to each other to make its points, and wrestlers and agents alike thankfully knew it.

Unlike Shawn Michaels 2002 nWo promo, this got to the point and stayed there, until things a got a little less than definitive when MVP entered the cage. He disrupted certain win for Drew following a Claymore, and took one himself, but the distraction handed an advantage back to Lashley that the Champion eventually made the most of.

Tables were smashed, referees were battered and the cell itself was dismantled, but this is WWE in 2021 - a roll-up got it done.
