7 WWE Stars Who Should NEVER Turn Babyface Again

5. Shinsuke Nakamura

The days when Shinsuke Nakamura was being greeted by passionate chants of his surname and having killer match after killer match on NXT seem like a lifetime ago. On the main roster, Nakamura has been lukewarm at best, and he's never been able to recapture the shine of that babyface hysteria upon his WWE arrival.

His supporters won't like reading this, but it's true: as a babyface in this company, Shinsuke died a death.

It takes more than good wrestling before writers on Raw and SmackDown agree to push someone. They need to spot something bankable in their personality and mould a character around that. It was never fair to expect that from Nakamura when English isn't his first language and he was still getting used to WWE's surroundings.

Since twanging AJ Styles in the balls at WrestleMania however, there's been some light at the end of the tunnel. Sure, Naka has tapered off post-WWE Title feud, but he's still way more interesting as a bad guy than he ever was as a face. This is how it needs to be for the remainder of his run.
