Scores were locked at 1-1 as Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker stepped inside Hell in a Cell, both determined to come out victorious. Since becoming an annual PPV in 2009, the general consensus is that Hell in a Cell matches have lost their edge with many matches that didn’t belong inside the structure taking place. However, this was one fight that felt right at home inside the cell, as there was no other way to put The Streak’s feud to rest. Never higher, the stakes brought out a side of Brock Lesnar never seen before in WWE: a desperate one.

Just like in their match at SummerSlam, Lesnar was busted open very early, and it didn’t take long for The Undertaker to don the proverbial crimson mask too. As the destruction continued, both men put the cell to work and battered one another with weapons. Unlike his match against Dean Ambrose at WrestleMania 32, Brock Lesnar was more than obliged to hit ‘Taker with chairs and stairs, desperate to make certain of his victory. Not even the ring was safe from the wrath of Brock Lesnar, as he tore it up, exposing the wooden boards underneath.

The climax of the match saw Lesnar resort to the lowest tactic in the book, as he mirrored The Undertaker’s actions from their SummerSlam encounter, by hitting a low blow. By the end of it all, fans felt like they’d really just witnessed something special. The final chapter of the epic Lesnar/Undertaker feud had lived up to the hype and will go down as one of the most violent feuds in WWE history, especially since the beginning of the PG era. Throughout the feud, The Undertaker brought out a different side to Brock Lesnar and Brock Lesnar brought out a different side to The Undertaker.
