8 Big Concerns Heading Into WWE TLC 2017

6. Mickie Proving Alexa Right

Alexa Bliss vs. Mickie James hasn't been a good feud. WWE have taken the worst possible route, and instead of presenting it as a clash between a cocky young upstart and a savvy veteran, they've gone for the schoolyard approach. Alexa's smear campaign has largely consisted of her mocking James' age, and the five-time Women's Champion hasn't exactly covered herself in glory either.

WWE now have a big problem on their hands, because if Alexa wins (which she presumably will), it essentially proves that everything she has said about James is right. A clean victory tells us that Mickie is indeed an old, beaten-up has-been, and that she doesn't belong in the ring with the new generation.

There can be no coming back from such a burial. James is still good enough to go with the division's top stars, but her credibility will be in tatters, and she'll likely be consigned to an eternity of midcard purgatory. Bliss, meanwhile, will progress to the next challenger, having tarnished both Mickie and Bayley within the space of a few months. She's a great champion, and an electric personality, but WWE must be smarter with her.
