Diamond Dallas Page's babyface appeal is universal. During an era in which everyone in WCW felt larger than life, DDP had an everyman quality that was relatable and easy to get behind. With WWE lacking anybody who ticked that box, DDP should have been one of the easiest superstars to translate for immediate success, but Vince McMahon's need to sabotage anything that worked in WCW reared its ugly head once more.

There is nothing about DDP at any point in his whole career that suggested he would be the right man to play a stalker, and yet that was the direction that WWE took Dallas in for his WWE debut. Not only that, the person he was stalking was the wife of The Undertaker, one of the most popular and universally loved WWE superstars of all time.

This unforgivable fumble didn't stop there. Rather than leaning in to DDP's natural compassion, it became a point of ridicule as he took on the role of an insufferable self-help guru. Thankfully, history has shown what a likeable guy Dallas is through his rehabilitation work with the likes of Jake 'The Snake' Roberts and Scott Hall, but everything about his run in WWE stunk like rotten garbage.
