8 Biggest FUMBLES In WWE History
5. Goldberg
Whatever your feelings for Bill Goldberg, in the late 90s, he was one of the most popular athletes in America. As the NWO was beginning to lose its flavour, and with WWE enjoying a massive resurgence in popularity, Goldberg's dominant streak, bad ass entrance, and imposing figure was one of the only things helping to keep WCW relevant at the turn of the millennium, and the only "new" star they had built during their hottest era.
When Vince McMahon finally put his hand in his pocket to acquire the megastar after buying WCW, Goldberg finally made his long-awaited jump to WWE in March 2003. The man's entrance and chant from the crowd were easy to replicate, but Goldberg was never portrayed as the same elite talent that he was in his WCW heyday.
Putting him straight into mic battles with two of WWE's most accomplished talkers, The Rock and then Chris Jericho, got him off on the wrong foot, and things didn't get much better from there. Goldberg only lasted 13 months in the company, with his most memorable moment coming at WrestleMania 20, where both he and Brock Lesnar were booed out of the building and WWE together. It remains one of the biggest misfires in WWE history.
