8 Burning Questions For WWE Raw (Oct 24)

4. Can Rollins Win Over Fans?

Seth Rollins’ face turn has been an interesting one. Heel turns are usually easier to execute – good guy beats up buddies and sides with villains (see Rollins’ 2014 turn). But turning face – unless really driven by the fans (see New Day, Cesaro in 2014) can be a little tricky.

So far, Rollins’ turn has been going OK – save for insisting that fans call Chris Jericho “Sparkle Crotch,” which was met with mixed results. But to get from being cheered by fans to being seen as a beloved hero, he’ll need to make a few more strides.

It’s tough right now because he’s not really being held back or held down by authority figures (ala Daniel Bryan), and Kevin Owens is arguing just as much with his best friend Chris Jericho and GM Mick Foley as he is with Rollins. So there isn’t as huge an obstacle facing Seth as there have been for other top guys to play against. It’ll be interesting to see if Rollins can rally more support on Monday night.
