8 Controversial Moments WWE Regret Airing On Live TV
6. The Undertaker Suffers Muhammad Hassan Attack On July 7th
In 2025, WWE is more of a global product than ever before. With PLEs regularly taking place outside of the USA and Canada, fans of places outside of those two WWE mainstays feel seen more than ever before. That was not the case back in 2005, when WWE put out one of the most tone-deaf segments in the history of the company.
The 7/7 bombings in London were some of the most horrendous acts of terrorism to happen in the UK in the 21st Century. The London Underground and buses were attacked, adding to similar attacks that took place in Spain and the US in the years prior, but unlike the prideful programming that followed 9/11, WWE showed no such care for the London attacks.
Following a match between The Undertaker and Muhammad Hassan's manager, Daivari, 'Taker was attacked by five masked men with clubs before Daivari was carried out above the men's heads and out of the ring. Despite being taped three days prior, WWE aired the segment as live in the US on the same day as the 7/7 attacks.
