8 Current WWE Stars Just One Title Win Away From Becoming Grand Slam Champion
7. Drew McIntyre - United States Championship
Just like Shelton Benjamin, the reigning WWE Champion Drew McIntyre is in his second stint with Vince McMahon's company. The Scottish Superstar made his debut in 2007, and till 2014, he had won the Intercontinental Championship as well as the Tag Team Championships. Despite being 'The Chosen One,' McIntyre could never seize the premier title of the organisation.
He made his comeback to the most prominent pro wrestling firm in 2017. Triple H gave him the NXT title to prove himself on the developmental brand before the Creative team called him up to the main roster. 'The Scottish Psychopath' won the RAW tag team titles with Dolph Ziggler and had an exciting rivalry with Roman Reigns, then won the 2020 Men's Royal Rumble match to challenge for the world championship at WrestleMania 36. The former Impact Grand Champion defeated Brock Lesnar in the main event of this year's 'Showcase of Immortals' to reach the pinnacle of the sports entertainment world.
A United States title victory can help McIntyre join the Grand Slam club. However, looking at his current position on RAW, it is unlikely that the writers would insert him in the mid-card championship picture anytime soon.
