8 Decisions That Pushed WCW Towards Ruin

5. Using Eric Bischoff On Screen In The Wrong Way

I love Eric Bischoff. He's the cool uncle we all wish we had. Bischoff increased the heat for the nWo with genius promos where he would constantly tell a nuclear crowd he loved them, and play the cowardly heel.

It was great foresight from Bischoff taking himself away from the commentary desk, and turning on WCW. Bischoff has said that Vince McMahon stole his evil authority figure persona, but even if that were true McMahon did it better. Going up against the anti-hero 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, he helped build an iconic character through their feud.

If Bischoff had gone into a one-on-one story line with someone instead of only being in the nWo, they could have made a star. That person may not have reached the popularity of Austin, but it was another chance to increase the promotion's popularity.

The fact Bischoff was the one who fired Steve Austin from WCW makes it even harder to stomach.

Fun loving and opinionated. Full of random facts, many of which are completely irrelevant. I think I'm funny, hopefully at least one other person agrees. Love dissecting movies, television and video games for others to enjoy.
