8 Early WWE Hall Of Fame 2016 Predictions

8. Big Boss Man

WWE will usually honour someone posthumously every year. In 2015, 'Macho Man' Randy Savage was inducted, and 2014 bore witness to the induction of the legendary Paul Bearer. As mentioned in the intro, there are lots of wrestling fans who would enjoy seeing someone like Davey Boy Smith or Owen Hart inducted. There's a chance both those men will be inducted in time. Hart and Smith are both stars who would deserve a lot of time for their inductor's speeches. For 2016, WWE may wish instead to pay passing tribute to someone who served them for a long time but wouldn't be considered a headline induction. There are certainly worse choices than Ray Traylor, alias Big Boss Man. Traylor had two spells in WWF/WWE, the first from 1988-1993 and the second from 1998-2003 (as well as runs in Japan and WCW). Traylor was a memorable midcard act and engaged in many noteworthy feuds during the late 80s/early 90s and then in the late 90s, where he reinvented himself as the Corporation's enforcer. He held the WWE Tag Team Titles on one occasion and the Hardcore Title four times. Jim Ross has been very outspoken about his fondness for Big Boss Man on his podcast, so he may be the ideal candidate to induct him. Dusty Rhodes, who gave Traylor one of his first opportunities in the mid-80's, would have been perfect but he passed on this year. But a real wrestling historian like Ross would have some awesome stories about Boss Man, who passed away in September 2004.
