8 Epic Wrestling Matches That Would Be Better If They Happened Now

3. Neville Vs. Seth Rollins

One of the best TV matches of 2015 came when new WWE Champion Seth Rollins issued an open challenge to anyone... provided they were under 6'0" and 200 pounds. It was Neville who answered the challenge, and despite his place on the card, he took the champion to the limit.

Fans loved the match, especially one false finish where Neville hit the Red Arrow and seemed to have pinned Rollins, only for the referee to point out that "The Architect" had gotten his foot on the rope. Ultimately, of course, Rollins was victorious, retaining his championship in yet another one of his great performances that year.

Since then, Rollins has withstood a mid-career slump to establish himself as WWE's workhorse, rewarded with a WrestleMania tie opposite Brock Lesnar. Neville's arc with the company on the other hand, has been a much more dismal story. Frozen out of his contract after growing unhappy with languishing in the Cruiserweight division, the Geordie finally left in 2018, and is now set to star in AEW. Never say never of course, but for now, this rematch is off the table.
