5. David Otunga
As a current member of the WWE broadcasting team in the role of an analyst on the Raw pre-show, a lot of you probably knew that Otunga was still involved with the company. What you might not have realised however is that he is still listed on the WWEs roster as a
wrestler. Just this summer it was noted that
Otunga was performing again at live events, although its possible that this might have just been a one-off appearance as the event was in Otungas home state of Illinois. Like Slater, Otunga was one of the former NXT competitors who came into the WWEs main storyline as a member of The Nexus. Otunga won the Tag Team Championship twice during this run, once with John Cena as his partner (who was being forced to be a member of The Nexus) and once shortly after with fellow Nexus member Michael McGillicutty (Curtis Axel). Since The Nexus split up Otunga has had very little success as a singles competitor, ultimately resulting in him ending up in his current role as an analyst. Whilst he seems happy in this role there has been some speculation that
he may eventually make a return to wrestling on a more regular basis, which perhaps explains his current status within the WWE roster. It
is plausible that we could therefore see Otunga return in the near future, but given his initial run I cant see him having much success this time around either.
