If there is anything Vince McMahon and his crack creative staff has done consistently over the last six years, it is poke fun at Vickie Guerrero. Whether it was submerging her in messy liquids, forcing her into unflattering outfits or dance competitions, or directing the commentary team to bring up her fluctuating weight, McMahon seemingly had this perverse infatuation with humiliating the widow of WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero, all for the sake of entertainment. And that is not necessarily a bad thing, to a certain point. Vickie was an incredibly over heel and some of those instances made for entertaining television. But not all of it. Some was unnecessarily mean-spirited and really made the viewer uncomfortable. That was not the case in July 2013, when Triple H, Stephanie and Vince McMahon conducted an in-ring job performance review of Vickie. They pointed out all of her mistakes and biases during the segment, then left her job security in the hands of the very fans who had greeted her with eardrum-rupturing jeers for eight years. They responded predictably, letting it be known that they wanted the headache-inducing villainess removed from her position of power. McMahon, in an attempt to prove that he does occasionally listen to the fans, terminated Guerrero, who proceeded to pound the mat, scream in despair and cry like every great heel would when confronted with that level of public shame. It was a tremendous performance by Vickie, whose willingness to be embarrassed for the sake of the show was criminally underrated.
