8 HUGE IMPACT Rebellion 2021 Predictions You Need To Know

Rich Swann or Kenny Omega? Sami Callihan or Trey Miguel? Who replaces Eric Young?

IMPACT Wrestling's 2021 Rebellion pay-per-view is legitimately a historical event.

Kenny Omega, the World Champion of All Elite Wrestling, is going to challenge for Rich Swann's IMPACT World Championship, with Omega's title up for grabs also. Of course, this isn't the first time a title match of this magnitude has occurred, but for the future of IMPACT as we know it, this is far more important than it may first seem.

The pay-per-view is, however, made even more enticing once you see what else is on offer after you've presumably ordered the show just for its main event. There are four other titles being defended, including both the IMPACT in-ring debut of Paul Ellering's daughter Rachael Ellering and the return of IMPACT's World Tag Team Champions and New Japan stars FinJuice, alongside a no doubt stiff, gritty, and nasty last man standing match between Sami Callihan and Trey Miguel.

There's a lot to get your teeth sunk into come Sunday, 25 April.

It's not been the best-built pay-per-view in recent history, certainly not by IMPACT's standards anyway. The ceiling is outrageously high, though, and IMPACT Wrestling are more than ready to burst through it.

Culminating in that monumental title vs. title clash, let's get to it...

8. Violent By Design vs. Eddie Edwards, Willie Mack, James Storm & Chris Sabin

Your writer has actually quite enjoyed the use of Violent By Design over the past few months. Their story vs. James Storm, Chris Sabin, and co. has, however, ran its course by now. Keep in mind, this has been going on since, technically, December, when Deaner turned on the then-Cousin Jake.

There's no-one to blame for this other than IMPACT's creative team, either. They've done a decent job in keeping the build flowing at times in all fairness, for example, by involving James Storm's 1000th IMPACT match as part of the angle. That's been about it, though.

The recent Hardcore Justice special on IMPACT Plus saw Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner, and Rhino defeat Rich Swann, Willie Mack, Eddie Edwards, and Tommy Dreamer's replacement Trey Miguel in a class Hardcore War. This could have - and should have - been the conclusion to the story.

Nevertheless, there's a bit of intrigue coming into this. Eric Young obviously won't be wrestling; he's still suffering from his torn ACL. A replacement will no doubt be made prior to the match. But who? Perhaps, someone with a long, red beard who also goes by the name of Eric(k)?

Winners: Violent By Design
