It feels almost too obvious that Rhino is going to be Heath’s partner for this match, but he shouldn’t be. This whole will he, won’t he story is actually getting quite interesting now, so IMPACT would be foolish to harm a decent storyline just to get it finished quickly.

The match quality itself will vary depending on which Violent By Design pairing steps forward, as Deaner won’t be capable of providing the same match style as Joe Doering, for example. Doering flying onto Heath, totally wiping him out, would make for a grand visual. Intriguingly, Eric Young noted a few months ago that he was eyeing up an October return to in-ring action, effectively meaning he could pull a swerve by putting himself in the match.

Young and Doering should be the pairing that faces Heath and his partner. It’s the most experienced combination and the one that makes the most sense, given they personally put Heath out of action.

Time will tell who Heath’s partner ends up being, but he should win regardless. Although the Eric Young-helmed faction could do with getting themselves back on track, now isn’t the time. Heath needs to win his first official match as an IMPACT-signed talent.

Winners: Heath & TBA
