8 Huge Problems With Brock Lesnar Vs. The Undertaker At WWE SummerSlam
8. Undertaker's Health
There's no getting around the fact that The Undertaker is in a really, really bad way physically. Sure, from a purely aesthetic standpoint he looks better than he did when 'Taker and Lesnar last squared off at WrestleMania XXX. He has more muscle tone, is tanned and his new ring attire makes him look bigger and better. But, on the inside, 'Taker is falling apart. No active WWE superstar has suffered more injuries than The Undertaker over the years. We're not talking minor injuries, either: in recent years, he's required surgeries to his hips, knees and back. Add those to his shoulder and elbow surgeries and a picture of a very banged-up man starts to appear. There's a very good reason that he only wrestles one match per year these days. It's all his body can realistically handle. This is, after all, a man who was advised to/considered retiring way back in 1999. That he then went on to wrestle for almost an entire decade on an almost full-time schedule, is incredible. But the older 'Taker gets, the more his body will start to ache. Is it worth risking his physical wellbeing in a match with someone like Lesnar? The Next Big Thing gave Undertaker a serious concussion just minutes into their 'Mania XXX match. It sent the Dead Man to the hospital. Has Lesnar shown in the year-and-a-half since that he has dialled down the intensity? Not at all. He recently broke Jamie Noble's ribs when he threw him into the barricade with excessive force and almost decapitated a fan when he hurled a car door towards the ringside barrier. The Undertaker should be handled with kid gloves when he wrestles and Brock Lesnar wears XXXXL fighting mitts. It's an accident waiting to happen.
