8 Huge Problems With Brock Lesnar Vs. The Undertaker At WWE SummerSlam

3. It Doesn't Feel Fresh

While The Undertaker versus Brock Lesnar may seem like a fresh match to newer fans, who have only seen them clash the once at WrestleMania XXX. Fans who have been watching for longer (or catching up via the WWE Network) have probably seen the two men face each other enough times to last a lifetime. Undertaker and Lesnar wrestled each other a lot in 2002/03. They had multiple PPV scraps (Unforgiven 2002, No Way Out 2002, No Mercy 2003) and clashed frequently on Smackdown. The feud was already played out by the time Lesnar left the company in March 2004. One of the big problems with The Undertaker versus Brock Lesnar is that it just doesn't feel fresh. It feels like we've seen it all before because, for a a lot of fans, we already have. There are many current WWE superstars who Lesnar and The Undertaker have yet to go up against that would be fresh matches. Having 'Taker and Lesnar square off once again feels lazy and uninspired on WWE's part. It's a rivalry that peaked twelve years ago and it's time to move on.
