8 Huge Problems With Brock Lesnar Vs. The Undertaker At WWE SummerSlam

2. Who Loses?

The biggest question going into The Undertaker versus Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam is who does the job? Somebody has to win and somebody has to lose here. The result of the match is very important and could help shape future WWE storylines. Choosing who goes over here could be a bit of a problem. Do you sacrifice Brock Lesnar, a man whom WWE have booked so strongly since WrestleMania XXX? WWE have done a lot to turn Brock back into something special, after initially fumbling when he returned to the company. Would a high-prolfile loss to a 50-year-old Undertaker do irreparable damage? Brock might not be able to withstand the loss, after losing the WWE Title at WrestleMania 31 and failing to dethrone Rollins at Battleground. Lesnar should be protected at all costs, but that's not necessarily a foregone conclusion. He could very well be staring at the ceiling for The Undertaker. Would WWE bring The Undertaker out of semi-retirement, just o have him lose his big comeback match? It seems unlikely. Dave Meltzer has speculated that WWE could be building a Lesnar/'Taker trilogy, with 'Taker winning at SummerSlam and the two meeting in a rubber match at WrestleMania 32. One thing WWE cannot do at SummerSlam is book another non-finish in a PPV (excuse me, Network Special) main event having done so at Elimination Chamber and Battleground.
