John Cena Sr. must be a proud father. His son worked hard to escape working class New England and become one of the biggest stars in wrestling history. He’s so proud, he’d gladly take a beating for John Jr., which he has on several occasions.

In 2007, during Cena’s first feud with Randy Orton, Mr. Cena was sitting front row at RAW. To antagonize the WWE Champion, Orton attacked the elder Cena and punted him in the head. Rather than sue WWE or Orton himself, John Sr. instead fought Randy in a match on RAW the following week. Needless to say, he received an RKO for his troubles.

Unfortunately, the Cenas did not learn their lesson, as when John feuded with Orton again in early 2014, Randy attacked Papa John again and hospitalized him. Once again, Mr. Cena elected not to press charges, as he wanted his son to take care of business in the ring. Like a man!

If nothing else, Mr. Cena should be commended for having such confidence in his son’s abilities.
