8 Interesting Observations From TNA Live In York, PA
6. Jeremy Borash Is The Consummate Host
There are a lot of guys that have been with TNA since day one that remain there to this day. Jeremy Borash is one of them and Thursday night, he resumed his role as MC for the live event. As is always the case with J.B., he played to the crowd to perfection, kept the show moving and never allowed the audience to grow bored or disinterested. He was a pro's pro, a guy who understood how to present the product with enough enthusiasm that fans could not help but invest themselves in the action, even if they may not have been completely up on the current events of the promotion. He did not hesitate to get involved, either. First, he delivered a solid chop to the chest of Eli Drake during a York Fairgrounds Brawl against Tommy Dreamer, then hopped up on a steel chair and manually lowered the microphone into hand of Mr. Anderson so that the performer's entrance was not in jeopardy. From the way he elicits raucous reactions to the way he portrays his role as nerdy ring announcer to the evident pride he takes in the company, Borash remains a joy to watch whenever TNA presents one of its live event productions.
Erik Beaston is a freelance pro wrestling writer who likes long walks in the park, dandelions and has not quite figured out that this introduction is not for Match.com. He resides in Parts Unknown, where he hosts weekly cookouts with Kane, The Ultimate Warrior, Papa Shango and The Boogeyman. Be jealous.
