8 Interesting Observations From TNA Live In York, PA

5. Bobby Roode Is A WWE Star In Waiting

There is no star in TNA Wrestling right now more ready to jump right into World Wrestling Entertainment and be a legitimate main event attraction more than Bobby Roode. Fans of the Dixie Carter-owned company have watched him mature from a member of Team Canada to one-half of the critically acclaimed Beer Money tandem, heavyweight champion to veteran workhorse of the promotion. Roode has been one of the Most Valuable Players in TNA for years now and should the company truly be in its final days as so many fans suggest, he should be able to find work--and success--in WWE. Everything Roode does between the ropes is crisp. His work is flawless, he knows how and when to get heat and he has a style that is not reliant on high spots, thus preserving his health and making him a reliable talent. Perhaps of the utmost importance is his ability to effectively play the role of babyface or heel with conviction. In either circumstance, he is believable and that is not always something that can be said about the guys in WWE. Thursday night as he defended the King of the Mountain Championship in a Triple Threat match against Drew Galloway and Mr. Anderson, every one of his strengths was on display. If or when TNA is forced to close its doors, there will be a great deal of talent looking for work. Roode will not be one of them, if his performance in York and over the last decade is any indication.
