8 Main Roster WWE Superstars Who Would Thrive In NXT
1. Dolph Ziggler
Dolph Ziggler is the prime example of stop-start pushes stunting a man’s career. Throughout the years, the Showoff has come so close to reaching main event superstardom, but for whatever reason, WWE pull the plug. As such, Ziggler is now a directionless heel on SmackDown, seemingly with one foot already out the door.
That doesn’t have to be. On NXT, Dolph Ziggler can finally find his calling. While many of the superstars on NXT are around Dolph’s physical age, few are as old in "TV years". This means Dolph is the perfect candidate for the role of a grizzled veteran desperately trying for one last run.
It’s easy to imagine him, face or heel, squaring off with upstarts such as Drew McIntyre, Roderick Strong, and Kyle O’Reilly, aiming to prove that he’s not washed up and that he’s still one of the best in WWE. With the creative shackles of the main roster removed, Dolph Ziggler can finally become the star he was meant to be.
