8 Men Who Could Be The Last WWE WrestleMania 35 Andre Battle Royal Entrant

2. Kevin Owens

It'd be quite the comedown from last year's high-profile WrestleMania spot opposite the returning Daniel Bryan, not to mention championship matches at each of the two previous shows, but a place in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal would be better than nowt for Kevin Owens.

In fact, victory for KO in the prelims might help restore a bit of the comeback momentum that was so sharply halted at last month's Fastlane. Within weeks of returning to action, Owens was rapidly fast-tracked back into the main event stratosphere. However, his issues with last year's WrestleMania adversary - this time with the roles reversed - was never intended to run into this year's show, Owens instead acting as makeweight in the Kofi Kingston arc.

It might seem injudicious to have a wrestler challenging for the top title one month, and placed in a pre-show battle royal the next, undermining any suggestion of a stratified structure. But then consider that the third component of March's three year dance, Ali, is already listed to participate. If he's down, why not Owens?

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
