8 Mistakes WWE Have Already Made With Jason Jordan's Push
3. Putting Him Opposite The Miz
The Miz is possibly the best heel in the whole company right now, so it makes a certain kind of sense to immediately position your rising babyface opposite him.
The issue is, however, that The Miz is capable of cutting absolutely lethal promos, especially when honing in on the flaws of his opponents, so letting him take an open swing at Jordan was a grave error if the company's priority is putting Jordan over with the WWE Universe.
Jason Jordan is not particularly famed for his talking abilities, and he seemed powerless to meaningfully counter any accusations of nepotism or to match The Miz's eminent confidence on the microphone. Jordan was given incredibly generic scripted comebacks and naked appeals to the crowd, which really don't work when pitted against the passionate delivery and inventive promos that The Miz has become especially known for over the past year.
If Jason Jordan is to become a major player on Raw, then he'll need to be able to hold his own in segments like this, but throwing him right in at the deep end was a poor decision, and he most certainly looked out of his depth.
