6. Journalist Mistakes Albert Tumenov For Robbie Lawler
After Robbie Lawler had narrowly defended his UFC Welterweight Championship in an all-out war with Carlos Condit at UFC 195, it's no surprise that the media in attendance couldn't wait to get his thoughts at the post-fight press conference.
One journalist in particular really couldn't wait.
As the journalist begins his question, the camera pans across the fighters currently in attendance at the press conference trying to find Lawler before stopping at then-UFC welterweight Albert Tumenov.
Now, to be fair, if you squint with both eyes and step a few meters away from the screen you might be forgiven for mistaking Tumenov for Lawler. Unfortunately for the journalist though, he had just done it in front of a crowd of people, including UFC president Dana White.
Dana latches on to the poor guys mistake and jokingly puts him on blast in front of the assembled reporters:
"Ohh, you thought that was Robbie Lawler? You cover this sport?!"
No doubt that journalist still sometimes finds himself awake at night thinking about the time he mistook the UFC Welterweight Champion for another fighter in front of a group of his peers.
