8 New Directions For New WWE Champion Bray Wyatt

1. A Career-Defining Feud

For all the great moments Bray has had throughout his WWE career, he still lacks a legacy-defining feud to really put him over the top. The Wyatt Family’s feud with The Shield was excellent, and his rivalry with Daniel Bryan had it moments, but the John Cena feud was a complete disaster for his momentum. The Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose stories also left Wyatt without a signature rivalry to add to his legacy, but there’s one man who can surely provide it.

The Elimination Chamber was excellent, and Wyatt’s closing sequence with AJ Styles was one of its biggest highlights. The duo displayed outstanding chemistry while working together, and it’s impossible for AJ to have a bad match at the moment. If the Chamber is anything to go by, a feud between the two would be dynamite, and likely produce some outstanding in-ring contests.

It’d require a face turn from AJ, but that’s easily doable. Most of the crowd already cheer him anyway, and if Wyatt’s aura is restored, he'll be a perfect villain to play off. WWE could do a lot worse than let these two headline a series of PPVs once Wyatt’s business with Randy Orton has concluded. If nothing else, the in-ring action would be talked about for years to come, and that’s something Wyatt really needs to elevate him from “world-class character” to “world-class all-round performer.”
