A lot of jaws hit the floor at once when Brock Lesnar's music blasted out at the tail end of a huge SummerSlam weekender last month. Nobody thought they'd be seeing 'The Beast' back in WWE whilst a grim (to say the least) lawsuit involving Vince McMahon was still ongoing, but it happened. Despite being publicly named in that suit, Brock is back on your TV doing his thing.

Lesnar last wrestled vs. Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023, but he looks poised to headline opposite John Cena at Wrestlepalooza. Christ, if somebody had told you that this match would be happening on a show called that, you’d have called them nuts. The controversy following Brock’s return is undeniable, but there’s bound to be significant casual interest in a clash between these old rivals.

Brock didn’t show up in Paris after all (which this fan thought he might), but he’ll be back soon. His next appearance could well come on either Raw or SmackDown this coming week. The latter might be more likely due to Cena's role on that show and the fact that Raw takes place in France, but you never know. Never say never. No-one saw the SummerSlam shock coming.

Over 2 years after his last match, Lesnar will step into the ring vs. Cena one last time. It's likely to be a splash more competitive than their noteworthy bout was at SummerSlam 2014. However, John would surely agree to put Brock over on his way out, and it's not like doing the J.O.B for Lesnar hurts someone's credibility as a worker.

WWE just wanted to get this match in the ring before it was too late.
