Speaking of Owens and Zayn, the two men almost unwittingly forced themselves into the Intercontinental Championship picture last night. As the fight between the Quebecers spilled into the ring. Cesaro was distracted long enough to be rolled up The Miz, allowing Mr. Maryse to retain his title.

Many (myself included) were clamouring for a Cesaro win, but it also felt like it was too soon for Miz to drop the title, especially considering the fairly hot potato-manner in which the strap has been treated since Mania. As such, a shady win for Miz makes a certain amount of sense, and the inclusion of new challengers allows Cesaro's moment to be put off just a little longer.

The Miz vs. Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn looks likely for the next Intercontinental Championship match.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
