8 New Directions For WWE After Survivor Series: WarGames 2025
3. Bron Breakker Going For Gold
CM Punk might well be busy at SNME or at the Rumble, right enough.
Bron Breakker pinned the reigning World Champ and Raw's top man to win WarGames for his team, and that has to count for something. Bron and Punk had actually kicked the men's WarGames match off too, which might've been deliberate. This could be Triple H's way of subliminally programming the audience into accepting that Breakker vs. Punk is about to happen.
Not many will be mad at it. Bron was called "the future of this company" by Cole on commentary, and it's easy to see why. He has a good look, knows his strengths on the mic (barking soundbites), has an aura around him, meshes well no matter who he's in the ring with, and he even has backup in the form of Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Paul Heyman (for extra help in promos) and now Brock Lesnar on Mondays.
Brock probs won't be around a lot, actually, but still. There's nothing stopping Breakker from getting the main challenger role to Punk heading into Rumble season. Nothing at all. He's every bit a WWE main eventer in the making. Roman Reigns is impressed by him, Triple H clearly thinks he's a million dollar prospect, Paul Heyman must be fighting his corner behind the curtain, and now he's about to work with the World Champion.
Life is good for the next gen of the Steiner bloodline. It cannot be a coincidence that Michael Cole kept harping on the idea of Bron becoming a World Champ himself someday. He said that several times during Saturday's main event.
