8 New Directions For WWE Champion Jinder Mahal

6. Expand The Singh Brothers' Roles

The Singh Brothers add a lot to Jinder’s act. Sunil and Samir haven’t been around all that long, but they’ve played a role in ensuring Mahal’s in-ring success thus far, and without them, he wouldn’t be WWE Champion. Their interferences have been crucial in every match he’s had lately, and this will likely continue throughout the title run.

That said, their role could definitely be expanded upon. The Singhs are no more than voiceless henchmen at the moment, and their allegiance with Jinder has never been fleshed-out. They’re bound only by shared ethnicity (and snappy dress sense) at this point, and furthering the dynamic by letting them interact more freely with the rest of the roster would go a long way to establishing them as distinguished villains in their own right.

The Singhs haven’t worked a single match on SmackDown yet, and could essentially be used as Jinder’s gatekeepers, with prospective challengers having to go through them to get to the champ. WWE could even go one step further by letting them snatch the Tag Team Titles (with Jinder’s help, of course), thus cementing the trio’s superiority on the blue brand, and giving Sunil and Samir something substantial to work with.
