8 New Records Set At WWE Royal Rumble 2022

3. Total Eliminations – Women

Again, with a younger Royal Rumble and a lot of the statistics more compressed, you’re going to see records change hands more frequently with the women’s match.

Case in point, total eliminations saw a new recordholder emerge Saturday night. Shayna Baszler had held the record at 14 after tossing 8 women in 2020 and 6 last year, but this year, she drew #30 and tossed no one. Similarly, Bianca Belair entered this year’s Rumble with 12 eliminations, but she only managed to heave one woman.

But it was that underdog Charlotte Flair who overcame adversity to eliminate five women Saturday, giving her 15 total eliminations and the current record. In the process, Flair vaulted over Baszler, Belair, Nia Jax and Rhea Ripley (with whom she was tied at 10).

We might see this record get passed around for a while with so many women within striking distance of each other, but if Charlotte keeps entering Rumbles (even if she’s already holding a title), we could see her really pad her lead.
