8 Pointless WWE Title Changes

AJ Styles and Kevin Owens had been playing hot potato with the US Title belt - but up until the eve of Battleground it made sense. In fact, if anything it was refreshing to see the belt change hands at a house show, a reminder that the competition doesn't stop when the cameras aren't rolling.

But having Owens score another, this time two-day title reign - that's how long it took for AJ to regain the belt on SmackDown in a triple threat with Y2J - made almost no real sense at all.

That's why some are inclined to believe that the pair somehow botched the finish to their Battleground match, and it was supposed to be AJ retaining all along (a theory that is perhaps hurt by the fact they had KO's music ready).
