8 Predictions For NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II

Samoa Joe’s feud with Finn Balor wasn’t particularly flashy, but it was one of the best that NXT has ever produced. The two engaged in a hard-fought long-term rivalry based-on competition and a straightforward dislike for one another, and they produced a number of quality matches and memorable moments over the 6+ months they were butting heads.

Joe finally overturned Balor to claim the title on an April 21st live event, and successfully retained at TakeOver: The End. He has well and truly vanquished his, ahem, demons, and now sits proudly atop the NXT mountain as a brutal, dominant champion.

Shinsuke Nakamura has been a big thorn in his side lately. Shortly after his own victory at The End, Nakamura set his sights on the NXT Title, and he’s had his targets firmly locked onto Joe after defeating Balor in The Irishman’s final NXT match. Weeks of prodding mindgames look set to finally come to an end this weekend, as the two engage in a one-on-one match that fans around the globe have been dreaming about for years.

They’re two of the most exciting wrestlers in NXT, and their styles mesh perfectly. Both have a healthy taste for beating the absolute tar out of their opponents, and of all the matches taking place over WWE’s epic weekend, Joe vs. Nakamura might just be the most exciting.

Look for the charismatic King of Strong Style to take the victory here. His business in NXT is nowhere near finished yet, and it makes little sense to harm his mystique with a loss at this point.
