8 Predictions For NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II

1. Bayley & Samoa Joe Will Say "Goodbye"

Many WWE fans assumed that Samoa Joe and Bayley would be among the 2016 Draft’s six NXT call-ups when they were announced, but they were left-out. The likes of Alexa Bliss and Mojo Rawley headed to the main roster instead, and NXT retained two of its marquee superstars against the odds.

Bayley has since appeared as Sasha Banks’ tag partner at Battleground, and if her reaction is anything to go by, she’s going to be a huge hit on Raw or SmackDown. Both shows have become increasingly rife with filler in recent weeks, which shows there’s a clear need to pad both rosters out with some fresh faces, and where better to start than by snatching two wrestlers who’ve done all they can in NXT?

Bayley’s case is well-documented. She’s faced everyone there is to face in developmental, and once her business with Asuka is concluded, she’ll have little else to do. The timing’s perfect, and she’ll be a huge boon to whichever show she ends up on.

Joe has only been in NXT for about a year, but he’s shown a renewed ability to perform at the sport’s highest level through both his matches and character work. His feud with Balor was excellent, and his work alongside Nakamura has been just as strong. Should he lose in Brooklyn, there’s little reason to keep him around much longer: he’s already 37, and if he’s to enjoy a decent main roster career, he needs to be called-up sooner rather than later.

Their match results should provide a clear indication of both Bayley and Joe’s immediate futures, but if they go as predicted, look to see both on the main roster very, very soon.
