8 Reasons WWE Will Regret Releasing Sasha Banks

2. Mainstream Crossover Appeal

Marketable, charismatic and with a distinctive look, it’s easy to imagine a disillusioned Sasha Banks turning her attentions to some other area of entertainment. She already has a huge following that some record label or production company would surely love to capitalise on.

Banks has already featured in The Mandalorian so maybe other acting roles beckon? Or perhaps her cousins Snoop Dogg and record producer Daz Dillenger could give her a leg up in the music business? Or maybe she could team up with her husband and wrestling gear designer Sarath Ton and launch her own fashion line?

Of course, this might not immediately worry WWE. In an incredibly short term bit of thinking, the company seems to live in dread that one it’s stars might transcend the company and run away to Hollywood. It’s as if they resent people independently profiting and succeeding off the company’s efforts to build them as a star.

But who eternally benefits from their association with The Rock? WWE. And who has eyes drawn to their product everytime John Cena returns? WWE. Who won’t benefit from Sasha’s success in the same way because they’ve squandered any potential good will and ongoing with relationship with her? That’s right.
