8 Simple Ways WWE Fans Can Help Improve The Product

4. Boycott A PPV Or Two

Fans have been complaining in recent years that WWE programming has become too bloated. RAW is too long, there are too many weekly shows to keep up with, and there are too many PPVs crammed into a calendar year.

Filling anywhere from 10 to 15 hours of programming each week is bound to result in a whole lotta filler. (Seriously, can you imagine watching 10 to 15 newly-produced hours of any other TV show every week?)

But as long as their shows are making decent money and receiving plentiful viewership, there's no way Vince "trims the fat". Again, it's a publicly-traded company with shareholders to worry about, so the only earnest way to affect the business model is with your wallet.

WWE isn't going to give its product a tummy tuck if advertisers are still champing at the bit to use RAW or SmackDown (or NXT or 205 Live) to market their products. Which they are.

Luckily, the solution can be as simple as changing the channel. Don't watch SmackDown. Skip Fastlane. Don't tune into RAW until halfway through each and every week. If possible, make it an organized thing. Because if enough people start tuning out specific events -- or specific portions of programming -- they won't be able to sell ads during those times. And that's when hunks of fat will start flying off WWE's body.
