8 Things You Didn't Know About Apollo Crews

4. He Is A Manchester United Fan

Crews has professed to being a fan of football (or soccer, to the Americans) in the past, and has revealed himself to be a Manchester United fan. This is a bit of a token choice it seems, as anyone with a passing interest in sport usually goes with the most popular/successful team, but Crews did play a decent amount of soccer in school so maybe there is more meat behind this choice than meets the eye. He isn't alone in the Wrestling Red Devils Fan Club either, joining legends such as Lex Luger, Rey Mysterio and Montel Vontavious Porter in support of United. The reverse also saw Wayne Rooney attend a WWE show recently, getting involved by slapping Wade Barrett. I'm pretty sure Rooney's kid could beat Barrett at this point.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
