5. Rob Van Dam & Sabu Arrested For Marijuana Possession
No one who's ever watched Rob Van Dam deliver a promo has thought "What a straight-laced fella. I bet he's never smoked a single blunt in his life." Still, it's one thing to put forth that hazy vibe -- usually against the boss' wishes -- but it's quite another to actually get arrested for drug possession.
In 2006, RVD and Sabu were driving to a show in West Virginia when they were pulled over for speeding. After some light banter with the officer that included such gems as "Do you always drive with your shirt off?", the officer noticed the strong scent of marijuana wafting out of the car and proceeded to search the vehicle. The two men were subsequently arrested.
This wasn't just an embarrassing arrest of a couple high-profile superstars that everyone laughed about afterward, it actually halted the biggest push of RVD's career. Van Dam was immediately suspended for 30 days and was forced to drop both the WWE and ECW championships in succession.
His career never fully got back on track after this incident.
