Say what you will about John Cena, but he's dedicated to doing any job that is asked of him.

If fans thought that Cena had an easy ride in WWE, where he pretty much lived in the main event scene for his entire time as an ongoing concern, well...Hollywood has been less accommodating of the multi-time World Champion and crusader for 'Thuganomics' devotees everywhere.

At the 2024 Oscars, Cena was tasked with presenting the 'Best Costume Design' award on the biggest night in the movie calendar. This was entirely soured when he appeared on the show naked following a spat with Jimmy Kimmel in which he was supposed to be chickening out of doing a "streaking" skit.

Despite his relative lack of box office success, Cena is pretty great in everything he's appeared in. He knows his limitations, but he does a solid job regardless. To do something as low-rent as this on a night where the entire movie-going public pays attention was bananas. Hollywood is already a tough place for wrestlers to be taken seriously, and it's hard to imagine any casting director not having their prejudices confirmed by something as boneheaded as this.
